WORLD WATER DAY IMPORTANCE
According to the United Nations, around 4 billion
people experience severe water scarcity for at least one month a year, and
around 1.6 billion people (almost a quarter of the world's population) have
trouble accessing clean, safe water. While calling for water for all by 2030,
according to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it says that water scarcity
is increasing on the world's surface and that by 2050, more than half of the
world's population will live in water-stressed areas.
While calling for water for all people by 2030 in the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, it says that water scarcity on
the world's surface is increasing day by day and that within 30 years, more
than half of the world's population will live in water-scarce areas.
