 World water day is a special day that takes place on 22 March every year and has been celebrated since it was declared by the UN in 1993. It is one of the solutions offered by UN members, non-governmental organizations, environmentalists and the relevant public to draw attention to the importance of water, to draw attention to clean water problems and to raise potable water resources. The World Water Council is held every three years as a global water-related event. This council examines the growing water crisis and the relationship between social and economic developments and water. The World Water Council was held in 2009 in our country, in the city of Istanbul. Participation in the council has also increased awareness of the importance of world water day. Today, March 22, World Water Day is celebrated with increasing awareness.
